The English footballer was back on the pitch in Milanello with the rest of his team-mates for the first training session after the holidays. He will stay in Milan until the end of the season and will try to convince Capello to take him to South Africa

MILAN, 28 December 2009 - David Beckham didn't want to waste any time. Just four hours after his return to Italy, Beckham suited up in Milan colours to join his team-mates on the first day of his "second life" as a Rossonero. The Englishman came onto the pitch at 3 in the afternoon amidst the applause from his team-mates, who are back for the first time after the winter break. The former Los Angeles Galaxy player spent the entire session with his team-mates.
The return Beckham arrived at the private airport in Malpensa at 11 in the morning, where he was picked up by a car sent by Milan. At 12:45, he returned to Milanello and met the rest of the squad; Pirlo, Jankulovski and Favalli were the first ones to greet him. Beckham, who ended the season with Galaxy losing in the MLS finals on 22 November, will stay in Milan until the end of the season. His goal is to convince England's manager Fabio Capello to take him to South Africa.
New arrival This time around Beckham didn't bring his family to Italy, a family that has a new addition since Christmas. In fact, Victoria has given her husband a bulldog—worth 2,000 pounds sterling—that is in route from Los Angeles to join the popularly nicknamed "Beckhingham Palace", the Beckham's residence in Hertfordshire. The former Spice Girl explained she had chosen that particular breed because it represented "David's attitude on the pitch". The bulldog, still without a name, will be the third family dog for the Beckhams after Snoopy and Puff, named after American rappers Snoop Dog and P. Diddy (former Puff Daddy).
Updates to come.
